Islamic Republic murders young Iranian blogger on the eve of the Iranian New Year (Norooz)

Norooz, the Iranian New Year, is a time to be around family and rejoice the rebirth of natural life. Unfortunately this has not been an easy task for Iranians who have been living under a brutal foreign Islamic occupation since 30 years back. The Islamic Republic, since its inception in 1979 has mercilessly imprisoned, tortured, and killed Iranians who have dared stand up against their dictatorship. It was therefore of no surprise when Iranians today received news of the death of 28 year old CULTURAL blogger Omidreza Mirsayafi, who had been imprisoned in the notorious Evin prison for some time. Nor is it surprising that Omid's activities which were limited to a cultural audience, rather than a political one, being the instigating factor for the Islamic Republic to kill this young compatriot of ours. Cultural activities are seen by the terrorist Islamic Republic just as dangerous, especially to a regime that is founded on primitive and savage Islamic values that glorify death and mourning and when the other party is promoting and/or upholding values which are far superior than their lowly concept of culture in the primitive Islamic sense. Iranian culture as I have pointed out on several occasions throughout my posts is in stark contrast to that of Islamic culture. Iranian culture is one which values life and happiness, or summarized in the ancient Iranian philosophy of Zoroastrianism as consisting of three tenets: Good Thoughts, Good Words, and Good Deeds. Clearly these are in stark contrast to so-called "Islamic culture" which glorifies death, promotes hatred, and seeks to impose itself on others through violence.

Omid was not the first victim but rather one in tens of thousands of victims that have lost their lives at the hands of this evil, tyrannical, anti-Iranian regime. Nor will he be the last if the shameful indifference and submission which the large part of the Iranian population have adopted throughout these devastating past 30 years. This barbaric regime will not be defeated simply by verbal opposition amongst ourselves in the comfort of our homes. Concrete steps and action by Iranians is what will defeat this evil regime and put an end to the indiscriminate killings of innocent lives, young and old, that has been ongoing for 30 years. We cannot let this shameful indifference and short term strategy of survival lead to more of our compatriots being killed and our countries wealth being looted by these thieves and murderers.

Our pride and dignity, and the right of future generations to live in a free, democratic, and safe society should not be compromised. Sacrifices need to be made in order to free our nation and take it to the level it deserves amongst the community of civilized nations.

I extend my heart-felt condolences to the family of Omid, whose Norooz (Iranian New Year) tomorrow will be spent without their son, brother... I hope that this occupational Islamic Republic which has killed tens of thousands of our freedomloving and noble compatriots will soon be brought to justice.

Anti-Shah Propaganda

The anti-Shah camp’s propaganda centres on a few topics which they ardently stick to and repeat to death until some ignorant fool buys into it. I was reading a commentary by an anonymous compatriot (on a certain site which I do not like to advertise on my blog) and would like to share this compatriot’s answers to the repetitive propaganda used by the anti-Shah camp. I have formatted the anonymous user’s replies and added my own commentary to it as well.

Anti-Shah propaganda (1): If Shah was so great as many claim here, why there was an uprising (revolution) by millions of Iranians who toppled him from power?

Answer: One might expect a short and sweet answer to this question but if one is not aware of the complex circumstances that built up to the Islamo-Leftist takeover one might very well be duped into believing that the revolt was a popular one. First of all, despite there being large crowds, reaching the hundreds of thousands, there are no confirmed statistics of the actual crowds that were demonstrating but the numbers which are used by the Islamic Republic and other symphatizers are based on actual eye-accounts with substantial exaggeration added to these subjective accounts that run in the millions (!). Having said that, there were indeed very large crowds out demonstrating, causing havoc, destruction and spilling of innocent blood.

Why were they demonstrating? Well for the Islamo-Leftist factions in these crowds they were against the late Shah’s democratization efforts and modernization plans that were in effect. The clergy was especially infuriated because they had lost the huge amount of lands which they had owned at the hands of the government which had confiscated these lands in their land redistribution plan. The muslim clergy was also feeling their influence and power over Iranian society slowly eroding due to the progressive agenda of the government and thus were fighting to keep their livelihoods of leeching upon Iranian society’s ignorance. The left in particular disliked the fact that the Shah was harsh on leftist guerrillas and factions whose allegiance were to the Soviet Union and the fact that he was such a close ally to the U.S. These two potent forces had thus joined in what the late Shah of Iran called an un-holy alliance of Red (Leftists) and Black (Islamists), hellbent on destroying the Shah and his progressive vision of a prosperous, democratic, and modern Iran. To this end they had embarked on a massive propaganda campaign to spread lies and exaggerations about the late Shah and the Iranian Government. As an example, according to Akbar Ganji and Emadin Baghi (themselves revolutionaries and intelligence officers of IRI), revolutionaries exaggerated corruption of the Shah’s Government (from murders to embezzlements and everything in-between) by factors of between 100 and 1500 to justify their take-over of the country. They also lied about the future, in the form of promises they made to the masses, from free bus service to free electricity and delivery of 350 tomans (Iranian currency) to everyone’s house every morning. In effect those who bought into these lies and exaggerations had ambitious expectations of heaven upon earth by supporting the armed insurrection and demonstrations against the Shah’s government – this despite their living standards being one of the best in the region, having risen from that of being a dirt poor, disease-ridden, lawless country to one of the world’s fastest growing economies. Ungratefulness and greed is what marked the participation of many politically non-affiliated demonstrators.

Another variable in this regard, was also the unfamiliarity of people with any other system of government, even the democracies of the west. Once the exaggerations were taken out, corruption in the Shah’s government was only slightly more than that in western democracies, and by the standards of neighbouring countries would make the Iranian government look exceptionally well! This was also an issue that had been acknowledged (corruption) by the Shah and which was continuously being addressed, taking into mind that Iran was still a developing country, which albeit having taking huge steps from the state it was before the Pahlavi Dynasty, still needed more time to reach the standards expected by people in the west. People knew none of this; that no government is perfect.

Another major factor in people joining the Islamo-Leftist Revolt was the religiosity of people: they were more comfortable with likes of Ayatollah Khomeini than the late Shah of Iran. Iran had for 1400 years been partly under the yoke of Arabo-Muslim Occupation and later under the influence and control of the Muslim clergy which exercised supreme power over the population for centuries; thus Iranian society at the turn of the 20^th century was not only poverty/disease/-stricken and illiterate but they were also highly superstitious due to the influence of the mullah’s/ayatollah’s in the muslim clergy. Again, great strides had been taken by the Pahlavi Dynasty to modernize and educate the country. Illiteracy levels which were in the region of 99% at the turn of the century had experienced an impressive improvement by the 1970’s. However, even with a population that can read and write this did not present a definite cure to centuries-old ingrained/indoctrinated superstition. Thus their problem (the people who had joined the demonstrations) was not that the Shah was not good enough, their problem was that the Shah mandated their daughters to go to school without hejab (Islamic female headcovering), music to be played on radio, foreign films shown on TV, alcohol served in restaurants/cafe’s, females attending universities and mingling with men freely etc… which were all “haraam” (Islamic term meaning “forbidden”) in their views; otherwise the corruption of the Shah’s government had nothing to do with 99% of the population which went about their own business day in day out.

Tying in with what I laid out earlier, they had also forgotten where they came from. When Reza Shah the Great took over the country, Iran had 3% literacy, when the Shah left the most pessimistic views show that Iran had 65%+ literacy rate. That is +60% change in 54 years. Secondly, per capita income increased from about $150 to $2400 (without adjustment for inflation). Schools opened, engineers and doctors replaced the superstitious appeal of going to the shrine of some dead muslim killer/thief/opportunist that had been glorified to sainthood by the muslim clergy. Working for companies replaced opium trade in the bazaar (traditional marketplace). All of this and more was just too much for people to digest and to accept in such a short time span, and others became greedy and arrogant, attributing all successes and advancements to themselves and not the policies of the catalyst that was the late Shah of Iran.

Having outlined the affinity with backwardedness and superstitiousness, the majority of people who participated in the revolt thus made a better connection to a regressive and backward muslim clergyman like Ayatollah Khomeini, than with a patriotic/progressive/modern individual like the Shah of Iran and the new progressive clean-cut class of tehnocrats around him.

Anti-Shah propaganda (2): If he was a patriot working for people, why he had to resort to violence, imprisonment and torture of dissidents, SAVAK, Evin, etc.?

Answer: In hindsight, one of the late Shah’s flaws might have been his unwillingness to introduce political reform in a faster pace. His main worry was that an uneducated populace would easily be taken advantage by the country’s enemies, in particular the communists, which would use the opportunity to grasp power through the peoples’ political naivety. Literature which was not deemed “appropriate” was thus censored or banned, fueling anger by both the leftist and islamist camps. Although the reasons for this censorship might have been understandable, I do not think it was the right thing to do as it gave more material to the anti-Shah camps to use in their propaganda campaign and incite more hatred. In terms of SAVAK (the national security agency of Iran), there is no government in the world that tolerates violence against its sovereignty. The overwhelming majority of people who had been arrested by SAVAK were criminals and terrorists such as Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ayatollah Hashemi-Rafsanjani, Masoud Rajavi etc. In any society, there is some 1% that belong to prisons for the sake of the rest, and political prisoners (majority being characters as listed above) were somewhere around 3 thousand at the time before the Islamo-Leftist Revolt (figures published by Islamic Republic officials); that is 0.01% of the population and not 100’s of thousands as was claimed by the Islamo-Leftist mob; it was these very same prisoners who upon their release brought us 30 years of disaster, death, murder and thievery.


Anti-Shah propaganda (3): If Iran was independent, free and strong, why the foreign powers used to dictate everything to him?

Answer: I do not know what independence means in this day and age. Countries are not isolated entities anymore and international relations are based on give and take where powerful countries use not-so-powerful for their interests. PM Mosaddegh tried to borrow $300M for the daily operation of his government and failed to secure a loan from America. He needed America to survive and if he was not willing to reciprocate an American favour there was no chance of a mutually beneficial relationship. So people who try to use strong political relationships between two sovereign nations such as the USA and Iran, at that time, in branding the late Shah as a puppet being dictated by the Americans are just politically naive, irrational and emotional people. Yes, he gave points to westerners (such as selling oil to America during the Arab oil embargo) and received points from the west (such as admitting 50,000 students to American universities in a massive education campaign, gaining access to sophisticated military weaponry etc). A wise leader should be willing to cooperate/negotiate with other sovereign nations in making the best of a socio-economica-political situation to help his country progress. An ignorant, foolish, and irrational leader lives on slogans of independence and allows his people suffer and remain in the past (not too different to PM Mossadegh’s radical oil nationalization drive which threw the country into an economic collapse due to the expertise of operating such a complex industry did not exist in Iran at that time!). To conclude this then, by working with major powers of that time the late Shah was able to transform a backward country with a bleak future into a progressive, modernizing, prosperous country with a bright future in store for future generations.

It should be remembered that the main reason the Islamo-Leftist Takeover was able to take place in Iran (1979) was because a small loud group of radicals with backing by powerful foreign nations was able to dupe Iranians and terrorize/shut up the silent majority who were too terrified to stand up against their massacres and threats.

The foreign media - mainly the U.S., U.K., France, & Germany acted as conduits to the Islamist/Leftist alliance in Iran who used this powerful channel (in terms of influence) in laying out their exaggerated claims of use of force by certain elements in the Iranian intelligence organizations against their terrorist members who they potrayed as "democrats" and "freedom fighters", and furthermore used these channels to deliver their utter fabrications that were meant to malign the Iranian Government and the late Shah specifically.

The United States and the United Kingdom were the two principal backers of this unholy alliance of Islamists and Leftists, and the Islamic Republic is a direct creation of their tireless efforts to undermine the Iranian Government and the late Shah's campaign to make Iran a secular, democratic, and model state in that part of the world - which of course was not in the interests of the "superpowers".

It is funny to what degrees the enemies of Iranian prosperity, progression, and national integrity are willing to go in their propaganda full of lies. On one side a patriot like the Shah of Iran, with a solid vision and loving devotion to his country, was labeled a "megalomaniac" by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and by the Leftist/Islamist Alliance as an "American puppet" and "blood thirsty dictator"!!! It seems these parties were trying to outdo each others' lies by coming up with the greatest untrue characterisations they could possibly produce! As it has been said in the past...repeat a lie a million times and the masses will buy it in the end...and that is exactly what happened.

Shame on the governments of the U.S., U.K., France, Germany and their puppets proxies in the Islamist/Leftist Alliance that destroyed a booming country under the leadership of a loving and devoted leader like the late Shah of Iran. They were able to kill a Great patriotic leader and destroy a booming country but they were not able to kill His Imperial Majesty's vision, goals, devotion, and love for His country.

UPDATE 1: It is of note that back then when the "superpowers" saw the late Shah of Iran as a threat they would continously repeat lies and exaggerations about human rights abuses in Iran, however today with their puppets in place not one single question asked of them, like AhmadiNejad, pertains to the countless human rights violations that take place daily in Iran. It is either questions which aim to portray Iran under Islamic Occupation as a progressive state by comparing it with other slightly more backward states like Saudi Arabia or the attention is solely on the for-show nuclear programme/AhmadiNejad's statements - not one second is devoted to the courageous people who are being executed and killed across Iran on a frequent basis by this hell-sent regime - whose only crime has been to stand up against the anti-Iranian, occupational, illegitimate Islamic Republic.

The notorious state organization that these criminal Muslim women belong to is the "Zeinab Sisters Brigade" which is a terrorist female-only-organization concerned with up-keeping Islamic value and whose primary target is Iranian women who dare to resist in what may seem the most insignificant gestures (such as pulling their headscarfs back slightly more revealing part of their hair or wearing tight overcoats etc). The Muslim women that are members of this organization are referred to by Iranians as "Fati Kommando's" which translated into english reads "Commando's of Fatameh" - Fatameh is the daughter of the Arabo-Muslim Prophet Mohammed whose backwardnesses, violent, and savage behaviour seems to have rubbed off on his offspring. There are many derogatory terms that Iranians use to label these creatures - apart from "Fati Komando's" there is also "Khaharane Zeinab" ( = Sisters of Zeinab) that is commonly used.

In this video the young Iranian lady asks the chador-clad (the black cloth that Muslim women wear) Muslim's who have surrounded her to show their ID badges so that they can be identified. The Muslim women ignore the request and tell her to be quiet and get in the car. At this point the Iranian woman begins to scream and plead to the crowd that has gathered to help her - however struck by the fear that the occupational Islamic Republic and its mercenary forces have instilled in the minds of Iranians the crowd feels helpless; all you can hear are whispers to "let her be", "let her go". This has not been the case in other recent cases where the crowd has actually intervened to save a young woman's life. The woman is eventually thrown into a police car by force. The car swiftly leaves the scene. These kind of abductions of Iranian women takes place daily by the occupational Islamic Republic.

Please spread and distribute this video-clip to wider audiences for them to witness what these savages are doing to the Iranian population resisting Islamic domination. The days of Islam, its adherents, and offspring are numbered in Iran. Iran will only be able to prosper once this historical misfortune that was imposed on our nation (Islam) is completely uprooted and disposed of into the waste bin of history.

More power to the Iranian people resisting this 2nd Arabo-Muslim Occupation in the history of Iranian nationhood.

Let's say it right from the start: this book is a masterpiece and a must-read for anyone interested in such subjects as sects, thought control, terrorism, and totalitarianism.

This book is a masterpiece not because it is well-written. In fact, it is not. Banisadr's style, a mixture of business reports and women's magazines' confessions, at times exasperating. Nevertheless, it is a masterpiece, perhaps, because it tells a moving story, what am I saying, a shattering story, honestly and unencumbered by the artefacts of literary style.

Masoud: Memoirs of An Iranian Rebel could remind some readers of Arthur Koestler's classic "Darkness at Noon", an account of how Communism can turn perfectly sane and well-educated men and women into delusional maniacs.

To tell the truth, however, I find " Masoud" even more moving, if only because the ideology that destroyed Masoud's life was more bizarre than Marxism-Leninism.

Masoud Banisadr, the writer of these memoirs, is a 51-year old Iranian-born science graduate who joined the Mujahedin Khalq (People's Combatants), one of a dozen or so guerrilla groups fighting the Shah in the 1960s and 1970s.

The Mujahedin had a special appeal because they mixed Islamic themes, which had become popular in Iran in the 1960s, with leftist slogans that had attracted some Iranian intellectuals between the 1940s and1960s. The Shah called them "Islamic-Marxists", a label which, though not accurate, was not off the mark either.

By 1978 when the Islamic revolution was bursting on the Iranian scene like a tsunami in a lagoon, the Mujahedin were regarded as selfless, and ruthless, fighters for the cause, whatever it was. They had murdered dozens of people, including bank officials, ordinary policemen, provincial clerks, and, more spectacularly, several American military technician hired by the Shah.

During the revolution, the Mujahedin acted as the vanguard of the movement. They attacked and burned banks, restaurants, bookshops, cinemas, and other "places of sin". They also assassinated army officers, policemen and gendarmes.

Throughout the revolution, which took less than a year to triumph, the Mujahedin praised Ayatollah Ruhallah Khomeini as a political idol. They invented the slogan " God is Unique, Khomeini is the Leader!" (Allah Wahed! Khomeini Qa'ed!) All along, however, the Mujahedin leaders believed that Khomeini, an old and apparently frail cleric, would seek no political role after the Shah.

When the revolution triumphed, it was only natural for the Mujahedin to expect a seat at the high table. By the spring of 1979, however, it had become clear that the new revolutionary regime would not only refuse the Mujahedin even a side-chair but also regarded them as something of a nuisance.

Struck by hubris, the Mujahedin leaders persuaded themselves that Khomeini had "stolen" their revolution. They could not admit that it was Khomeini's leadership and charisma, and not Mujahedin acts of terror, that had mobilised the masses and ensured the victory of the revolution.

Emboldened by a few allies in the new revolutionary establishment, notably a prominent mullah called Mahmoud Taleqani, the Mujahedin embarked on a policy of provocation against the new revolutionary regime which, in time, persuaded Khomeini that the only way to deal with them was to destroy their organisation.

While all that was happening, Masoud, our memoirist, was a student in England working on a Ph. D in a scientific subject. He had been attracted to the Mujahedin in 1977 and militated on their behalf in one of their many front organisations known as the Muslim Students Society in Northern England.

An Ideal Catch

Masoud was the ideal catch for the Mujahedin.

He had had a turbulent childhood marked by his parents' divorce and remarriage. Both his father and his step-father had been army officers who neither wanted to nor did manifest any hostility towards the Shah. Masoud, however, grew up in an atmosphere created by two decades of intense anti-Shah propaganda by the regime's many enemies: from the Tudeh (Masses) Communists to disgruntled mullahs and passing by the leftist guerrilla groups already mentioned.

Together they had created an anti-Shah culture based on a number of lies, misrepresentations, and hallucinations. They dreamed of revolution not only as a means of getting rid of the Shah but also, perhaps especially, to sort out their inner contradictions.

During the revolution the Mujahedin had told Masoud to love Khomeini and hate the Shah. He had done so with exceptional devotion. He recalls how he had not been able to go to sleep without cursing the Shah and praying for Khomeini.

But when the Mujahedin broke with Khomeini, the ayatollah became their chief object of hate. Masoud was told to hate Khomeini and start loving the Mujahedin leader Masoud Rajavi. He did so without any qualms. Suddenly, it was Khomeini that he cursed and Rajavi that he prayed for every night.

Masoud Banisadr had missed the revolution in Iran and felt almost cheated. This was why the idea of a second revolution, this time against Khomeini, a revolution that would give him a chancre to prove how selfless a fighter he is, appealed to him.

To sum up Masoud Banisadr needed four things to give his life meaning:

A set of lies that he could believe as absolute truth. These had been provided by the Shah's enemies for years. A new version of them was now manufactured by Khomeini's enemies. The Shah had been presented as an "American agent". It was now Khomeini's turn to be accused of being in cahoots with the Americans and the British.

Someone to worship and someone to hate. Until 1979 the Shah had provided the hate figure while Khomeini had represented the love idol. After that Khomeini became the symbol of hate and Rajavi of love.

The illusion that there was an historic or even a divine mission that one had to undertake on behalf of one's nation, if not mankind as a whole.

A cocoon in which to escape from the real world and build an alternative universe. The Mujahedin offered precisely such a cocoon.

From 1977 until he broke with the Mujahedin nearly 20 years later, Masoud Banisadr was a prisoner in a parallel world created by one of the most ruthless sects seen in the last century.

As a member of Mujahedin he was ordered to burn all his books, notes and documents, which he promptly did.

The typical Mujahed was ordered not to read anything not authorised or published by the Mujahedin. He could not even read the Koran unless asked to do so by the organisation with its own commentaries. The Mujahed could not go to cinema, unless on an organisational mission; could not watch television or listen to radio except those controlled by the organisation, and had to refrain from forging any relationship with "outsiders." The Mujahed's children had to attend special schools controlled by the orgasiation.

The idea was to totally isolate the Mujahed from the outside world and gradually kill his critical faculties. He was to be left with a single view of the existence: the fiction created by the " Supreme Leader" Masoud Rajavi and his aides.

At a later stage the Mujahedin were ordered to stop loving their wives or husbands and children because that would reduce from their love for Rajavi. But then Rajavi decided that that, too, was not enough. He ordered all Mujahedin to divorce their wives or husbands. Once they had complied, the " Supreme Leader" ordered the Mujahedin to eliminate their natural sexual desires. Special agents would check the Mujahedin's urine sample to see if it contained " traces of sexual excitement", whatever that means.

At a still later stage the male Mujahedin were ordered to transfer all the top jobs to their female colleagues and accept the superiority of women over men.

In the meantime, Masoud Rajavi had divorced his second wife, a daughter of Abol-Hassan Banisadr who had briefly served as President of the Islamic Republic under Khomeini. But Rajavi was not bound by the rules he fixed for others. He asked his number-two Mahdi Abrishmachi to divorce his wife, Maryam Azodanlu-Qajar; and the latter promptly complied. A few days later Rajavi announced that he had married Maryam, Abrishamchi's divorced wife. The Mujahedin were ordered to celebrate the event as a great revolutionary and historic event, which they did without zeal.

The idea was to show that Rajavi was the only person who was above all laws, man-made or ordained by God.

The Mujahedin not only accepted whatever Rajavi did but also went out of their way to present his deeds as sacrifices on his part. He had fled from Tehran to Paris, hidden in women's clothes aboard a hijacked aircraft, and presented his escape as " the most courageous act of heroism", and the Mujahedin had believed him. And when Rajavi signed a "treaty" with Tareq Aziz, then one of Saddam Hussein's top aides, to help Iraq in the war against Iran, the Mujahedin hailed the move as "a great patriotic act."

Needless to say the Mujahedin had no qualms to take up arms, enter Iran under the wing of the invading Iraqi armies, to kill Iranians and burn their villages in the name of their revolution. Rajavi had told them to hate America for years. But, after 1983, he urged the Mujahedin to do all they could to win Washington's support, including collecting information for the CIA. In the lexicon created by Rajavi, treason meant patriotism, and freedom was nothing but blind obedience of the chief.

The reader might assume that Banisadr wrote his memoirs to unmask and discredit Rajavi. Paradoxically, however, Masoud Rajavi emerges from this book with a less ugly image than that of his followers, including our talented memoirist.

Doing What He Did Best

After all, Rajavi did what he knew best: building his personality cult.
When he was propelled into the leadership of the Mujahedin in 1979, Rajavi was a 30-year old ex-student who had spent six years in prison.
He had virtually no higher education and his political experience was limited to a few armed attacks on isolated gendarmerie posts and a failed attempt to kidnap the American ambassador in Tehran. Nevertheless, he was hailed by tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of young Iranians, most of them students or graduates, not only as a political leader but also as a saviour.

In other words, it was those young enthusiasts who had a problem not Rajavi. All that Rajavi did was to comply with an old Iranian dictum: if the people act as a donkey, just ride them!

Masoud Banisadr, our memoirist, was roughly the same age as Masoud Rajavi. He was better educated than Rajavi because he had completed his university course, obtained a PH.D, and learned English. He had also more practical political experience because he had organised a student union , managed fund-raising events, and lobbied British parliamentarians, journalists and trade union leaders. And yet, Masoud Banisadr regarded Masoud Rajavi as almost a god. He was ready to lie, cheat, betray and even kill for Rajavi.

Banisadr was not alone.

Almost all the Mujahedin cadres were better educated and more experienced than Rajavi. But Rajavi was able to play with them like toys. He would order them to divorce their wives and they would do so without protest. He would tell them to hate each other and use abusive language against their closest comrades, and they would do so with zeal. He would ask them to laugh or to cry, and even, quite literally, to dance for him and they would do so like circus bears.

So: who was it who had a problem?

Rajavi or those who helped build his personality cult?

Lacking education and experience, Rajavi acted on animal instinct. He realised that the revolution, which many had dreamed of but few had really wanted, had produced large numbers of rootless people looking for a measure of certainty.

Rajavi was clever enough to know that only well-educated individuals could be deceived in a big way. Ordinary people, the illiterate peasants and semi-literate workers, could be deceived in small maters, but never on big ones, if only because they lacked the imagination needed to believe big lies. For example, no Iranian peasant shed a tear when Stalin died in 1953 while many Iranian poets wrote qasidas to mourn the Soviet dictator. No Iranian peasant or worker joined the Khomeinist movement until after the Shah had shown that he was no longer able to play the role of the " father."

At one point in 1988 Rajavi boasted that the Mujahedin were the only organisation in which people with university degrees were a majority. He was more right than he had imagined. His sect included famous poets, writers, entertainers, footballers, and scientists.

Among his worshippers were a grandson of the late Dr. Muhammad Mussadeq, the idol of anti-Shah bourgeoisie, several of Khomeini's closest former advisers, and numerous defectors from various Communist outfits.

Now put yourself in Rajavi's place.

You see that so many people, all of them your superiors by education and experience, come every day to worship you as an idol. They tell you are the greatest, the cleverest, the bravest, the best-looking, the most blessed of the human species EVER created.

What would you think?

If you have a sense of humour you might think that they are pulling your leg. But if you suffer from egomania, as Rajavi did, you would believe that you are doing them a favour by letting them worship you.

During the last 20 years of their activity, the Mujahedin caused the death of at least a quarter of a million Iranians. Their hit-squads and suicide-bombers killed hundreds of officials, religious leaders, and personalities of the Khomeinist regime. In their border attacks on Iran, from bases in Iraq, the Mujahedin killed large numbers of innocent Iranians. In turn, the regime executed thousands of Mujahedin members and sympathisers.

Masoud Banisadr's memoirs are particularly chilling because he makes it clear that there is no complete cure for political self-deception.

Masoud Banisadr managed to get out of the Mujahedin after almost 20 years. But he has not managed to get the Mujahedin out of himself. He still defends their criminal project and has difficulty hiding his hateful admiration for the sect.

The reader would be astonished that Masoud Banisadr still considers himself to be " in love", not physically of course, with Maryam, Rajavi's third wife who was appointed by the latter as " President of Iran."

Is it because Maryam symbolises the mother-figure that Masoud Banisadr had always craved for?

More importantly, Masoud Banisadr has not cured his initial ailment, the need for someone to hate irrationally and someone to love beyond reason. Today, his object of hate is Masoud Rajavi. And, if my reading is correct, his new object of love is Dr. Mussadeq.

Fortunately for Banisadr, Mussadeq is dead and would not be able to ride him as Rajavi had done.

The final chapters of this book read like a thriller. We see Masoud Banisadr trying to escape from the clutches of the sect. At one point he narrowly escapes being kidnapped by Mujahedin goons at Baker Street in London, and shipped to Baghdad.

Masoud: Memoirs of An Iranian Rebel is a book not to miss.

Please, please , someone translate it into Arabic, Persian and , in fact, all other languages of Islam. And quickly!

Campus clashes erupt in Iran - Students vs Islamist Forces

PJM Tehran: Reports of a series of clashes between university students and paramilitary forces outside Tehran are emerging writes PJM’s Ardeshir Arian, who is in regular communication with PJM’s Tehran correspondent.

Concentrated clashes took place yesterday between Allameh University students and the Basij paramilitary forces at the communications campus of Allameh Taba-tabaee University west of the city of Tehran.

According to sources inside the university, the unrest has not settled yet and the regime’s IRGC armored division has surrounded the campus by placing armored vehicles all around the troubled building.

Students chanting “Death to the Dictator” could be heard from a distance away. In some instance, local residents have came out in support of the students and against the regime forces.

On Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 the security forces arrested about twenty students from the same college, for protesting against the Islamic government actions against students.

All but three of the students arrested were released after signing prearranged repentance expressing remorse and agreeing to forfeit their civil rights if they reoffend.

Three of these students have refused to sign such documents which could turn into their legal death sentences if framed or arrested by the government agents again.

For that reason and other unspoken interests, the Ministry of Intelligence ordered the three students to be transferred to one of their undisclosed locations - presumably for interrogation and torture designed to break their spirits.

On AhmadiNejad's visit to Columbia University

Although this American woman refers to herself as a "dumb blond" but she is quite the contrary and gives a good response to American liberals who have no clue about Iran and how their government (President Jimmy Carter) betrayed the progressive and modernizing government of Iran in 1979 when they along with other western powers gave full backing to the Islamists in line with a "greenbelt theory" ("belt of fundamentalist Islamic regimes") initially meant to halt Soviet expansion but also to keep these nations backward/poor and in so doing easier to "manage".

There is some slight profanity here and there but I can fully relate with this person as I know the frustration one can build up when dealing with thick liberals who shamelessly support the savage Islamic Republic occupying Iran.



My personal opinion on AhmadiNejad's visit to Columbia is that no terrorist leader should ever be given the opportunity to take advantage of the freedoms we take for granted especially when they themselves deny it to the people they rule over. AhmadiNejad used the podium given to him at Columbia to spew out his usual Islamist rhetoric and could not give a dime about any "insults" which where directed at him - in fact he used those "insults" to his own favour. The terrorist Islamic Republic has to be thrown out of the UN and its officials expelled/barred from entering free and civilized societies. Inviting him to a prestigious institution and insulting him is not going to help the Iranian people to rid themselves of these Islamists nor is it going to stop these madmen in their quest to acquire weapons of mass destruction. More importantly tough sanctions targeting institutions or front organizations of the Islamic Republic need to be imposed and direct financial/technological support given to the Iranian people to empower them and strengthen their resolve in their goal to overthrow this occupying Islamist regime.

Tomb of Emperor Xerxes to be destroyed by occupational Islamic Regime

After having destroyed over a hundred archaeological sites dating from pre-historic to post-sassanian times (Sivand Dam) and exposing the tomb of Cyrus the Great to future destruction, the Islamic Republic is set to destroy a monumental Iranian historical site in their campaign to exterminate all remains of pre-Islamic Iran (Persia). The tomb of Emperor Xerxes at "Naqsh-e Rostam" historical site is at risk of breaking in two if the occupational Islamic regime is allowed to continue construction with their Esfehan-Shiraz railway track. Evidence confirms the fears of Iranian cultural heritage enthusiasts that the powerful jolts caused by the passing of trains in such a close distance (as planned) to Naqsh-e Rostam would put the already damaged tomb of Emperor Xerxes in a real risk of being broken into two parts over time.

These losses are not just losses to the Iranian Nation but to the entire cultural heritage of mankind. If Iranians are powerless to save these sites due to the violent and repressive nature of the occupational Islamic Regime at least those nations who do have the power (technological, economical etc.) to assist the Iranian people in liberating themselves should do their human duty in helping the occupied people of Iran!

In recent days the occupational Islamist regime have carried out several barbaric public executions to instill fear amongst the populace. As per usual it buses in a crowd to watch the spectacle, which is also joined by Iranians who attend on their own free will - for what reasons these latter join I really cannot tell; the only reason in defense of them which I can think of is that they are either related to the victims in some way or are there to document the crime for human rights organisations and the general public inside and outside the country. What is even more disturbing is the attendance of children at these barbaric public shows of the Islamic regime which goes to show what kind of truly careless and shameless parents these children have - in a sane society the people who attend on their own free will, in particular those who drag their children to such horrific scenes, would be taken care of at either mental institutions or rehab centers in hope of curing their psychological illness.

The most recent public execution by the Islamist regime involved the killers of a filthy Islamic cleric who presides as a "Morality Judge", who without any doubt tortured, imprisoned, fined, and even killed many innocent Iranians on charges such as immodest dress, for extramarital relations and other absurd charges which are contrary to the inhumane Islamic doctrine. One of the individuals who participated in the killing of this Islamic judge held his head high as he faced his executioners with a smile on his face - this brave defiance must have really upset the Mullah's who are desperate to instill fear in the hearts and minds of the Iranian people with their barbaric Islamic rule.

On the recent police brutality in Iran...

As we all watched the horrific pictures and video-clips of the terrorist Islamic Republic's security forces beating up innocent Iranian youth under the pretext of them being "criminals and troublemakers" I think it was pretty clear from the beginning that not all of these people were what the Islamist regime wanted us to believe - now this is being confirmed with the case of Pourya and Pouya Fazlollahi; two distinguished and respected young Iranian sportsmen whose crimes were not being "rapists, criminals, or troublemakers", as was the official charge of the occupational Islamic Republic, but for exercising their inherent human rights of freedom of speech and expression which are both suppressed in Iran. Both brothers had been caught spreading flyers of Iranian King de jure Cyrus Reza Pahlavi, son of HIM Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, who has been living in exile since the Islamists took over the country in 1979 leading to the brutal treatment which they received.

Islamic Republic's thugs (intelligence agents) in Europe

I do not support any factions of the terrorist Mojahedin organization (MKO, NCROI + all of its umbrella/lobby organizations...). However I'd like to highlight these video-clips which show how the savage intelligence agents of the terrorist Islamic Republic occupying Iran are free to operate in European countries and how they even utilize the same barbaric tactics (knife wielding) used on innocent Iranians inside Iran. France has been a country where these terrorists have been allowed to operate freely ever since the French governments shameful coverup (in the early 1990's) after the killing of PM Shahpour Bakhtiar by hit squads sent by the Islamic Republic.

I do believe that not all members of the Mojahedin are fully aware of that organization's history and/or current activities and I also believe that certain members might have joined that organization out of desperation because they have seen it as the only ARMED organization which is combating the Islamic Republic occupying Iran.
