BBC's gift to the Iranian nation 30 years on...

Marking the 30th "anniversary" of the Islamo-Leftist takeover of Iran in 1979, the BBC has produced a two-part series on the "Fall of a Shah". The one-sided propaganda series does not deviate from the BBC anti-Shah stance and focused on well-repeated themes:

-1953 peoples' uprising against Mossadegh which has been popularized by the BBC and likes as the "1953 CIA Coup"

-Exaggerations on SAVAK's "brutality" against groups that were working against the national interests of Iran; ignorning crimes a thousand times worse by the west's own intelligence services in which 30 years later we still deal with organizations like the CIA conducting torture (for good or bad) - so God forbid though that a developing country 50 years ago used torture against people seeking to undermine the state!

-Criticizing the Shah's military might when in the end it was the few remnants of that military machinery which helped Iran repel the Iraqi invasion (after the mass-executions of Iran's finest military leaders and complete chaos in the military make-up). Noteworthy is also that the Shah knew that Iraq would attack Iran if the country's guards were let down.

-Condemning the Shah for holding a cultural/arts festival in Shiraz (!) and the first time in 2500 years in which a celebration of Iranian culture was once again held (the 2500 years of monarchy celebrations) whilst western nation's are free to celebrate their own nation's cultural heritage each year

-And lastly portraying Iran as poverty-stricken country in which only a select few on the top were prospering - conveniently neglecting the fact that this was not at all representative of Iran in the 1970's but that Iran had a thriving middle class and the nation as a whole was prospering.

This was the BBC's gift to the Iranian nation (or slap in the face if you like) on the eve of the Islamic beast which they helped bring to power. Ironically they even mention in their documentary that this was the first "revolution" that was televised! Ironically this is very true as the BBC acted as the Islamist and Leftists' mouthpiece through which they were able to influence Iranians with their propaganda against the state.

The last part of this two-part series, I believe, will be on BBC (World) next week Saturday at 21:10, if anyone wants to analyze the BBC's historical revisionism and propaganda methods.

Comments regarding "Aryamehr" blog...

The below email was sent by a kind non-Iranian reader by the name of "Walter".

If you are also a non-Iranian and have come across this blog please let me know what you think of it and if it has helped you understand Iran and Iranians better without the bias/distortions broadcasted by the main-stream-media (MSM).

Are there any specific questions you would like answered? Let me know and we'll discuss it on here.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Aryamehr,

Came across http://aryamehr11.blogspot.com/search/label/Shahanshah recently, I think its great that voices of opposition to the barbaric islamic tyranny still exist on the web and tell it like it is.

I am interested in your country's history and after some previous extensive reading and thought, I have concluded that the Iranian revolution was really masterminded to a greater extent by external forces (US, UK , France), who deliberatly engaged in a mud slinging campaign against the Shah in the late 1970's. They supported Khomeini against him, because they couldnt stand seeing Iran making significant strides forward, eventually being a modernised and westernised strong power and regional player, classic issue of betrayal in international politics.

I think the Shah had very good intentions for Iran, but could have done more to alleviate poverty (social programs) and develop the rural countryside, and shoudnt have spent so much on millitary hardware in 1970s, this would have taken the wind out of the sails of the extremists. However he wasnt a bloodthirsty dictator, but an autocratic monarch who knew that a developing country must first get solid foundation before anything else follows, just like Communist China is doing today (or since 1980) - that makes sense.

You know people in every country can be manipulated as sad as its seems, even in a democracy, because they do not think as critical individuals , but look blindley to leaders and act emotionally, abandoning reason and moderation in its wake...the Iranian revolution showed that very clearly ..... the people wanted someone parochial promising heaven on earth ( but delivering hell on earth) to lead them and werent even willing to give an intelligent and well edcuated man like Dr Shapor Baktiar a chance to govern, yes their hearts and minds were tottally infested with Khomeini;s venom.......Ironically , and with hindsight some people in your country now look back with regret , and think the Shah regardless of mistakes done wasnt so bad after all, what an irony or may be just plain human nature !

Sooner or later this anachronistic islamic regime will collapse against the tide of secularism (or via US military intervenrtion) sweeping Iran, just hope all mullas get summary execution along with it when it happens!.

Khoda biamorz Shahanshah Arymehr !

Regards,

Walter

Anjomane Padeshahi Iran - "Operation Tondar"

Anjomane Padeshahi Iran (API), or the Kingdom Assembly of Iran, with the leadership of Forood Foladvand has set out on the last stages of "Operation Tondar" (Operation Thunder) which will hopefully be the "Liberation of Iran" before the Iranian New Year (March 21st, 2007).

Mr Foladvand after months of unjustly being denied his travel documents, which were seized in a raid by the British MI5, on the eve of the Islamic Republic's Presidential S-elections (The Brits obviously know who can threaten their subordinates' -mullah's- interests!), has through the help of an Iranian lawyer in London been able to retrieve his travel documents. He has embarked on a journey to Iran and will be joining forces with members of Anjomane Padeshahi in Iran at an undisclosed date. He currently delivers short messages, as he advances towards Iran, which are broadcasted on Anjomane Padeshahi Iran's television channel - which is a channel solely dedicated to the overthrow of the Islamic Republic.

What API needs of all Iranians is exposure. We need to communicate this cause to Iranians inside Iran and abroad. Everyone needs to be AWARE that API has plans to overthrow the Islamic Republic and that they need to be ready to join forces when the first strike hits. This hurts nobody.

The way this operation will be carried out has not been disclosed for obvious reasons. Although many who are not familiar with Mr Foladvand might not take this seriously I believe that what API has achieved in the past two years is enough evidence of their sincerity.
Amongst the four most significant "operations" were:

-The act of civil disobedience by around 70 Iranians, on a Lufthansa flight in Brussels which attracted the world's attention to the Iranian peoples' plight

-The 150 chained cars outside the European Parliament in Brussels (Belgium) protesting, in act of civil disobedience, the European Unions shameless support for the terrorist and bloodthirsty Islamic Republic occupying Iran

-The act of civil disobedience outside the International Court of Justice in the Hague (Netherlands) where around 60 cars were brought to a stop outside this court in act of civil disobedience.

-Damaging the Sivand Dam project of the Islamic Republic which if put into operation will flood an immense area of Iranian cultural heritage/sites. (The Islamic Republic has announced now that the opening of this damn will take place early next year!)

Mr Foladvand has sworn that either he will be successful in this mission or he will loose his life trying to save Iran from the hands of these Anti-Iranian savages which are occupying our motherland.

The least any Iranian can do is to raise awareness of this cause of Anjomane Padeshahi Iran - this will not hurt you. When time comes and API calls for action you will have to decide then and there whether to proceed. For now spread the word.
